Register for Kanga Days of Service

Twice a year, we gather as a community to prepare our camp for the upcoming Summer or Winter season. Help us embark upon trail maintenance, cabin readiness, cleaning projects, and more!

This experience is offered twice annually. Upcoming dates include October 24, 2026. Check back soon for 2027 dates!

Event Details

This family-friendly event is not only an excellent opportunity to give back to the community but also perfect for high school students seeking service hours. The Service Day is ideal for families, teens, staff, alumni, Camp Fire groups, or anyone who wants to spend the day outside and give back to camp.

In fall 2025, we renamed our beloved twice‑yearly Camp Sealth work parties Kanga Days of Service, in honor of Jan “Kanga” Milligan. Jan’s legacy of giving back defines who we are and exemplifies the heart of Camp Sealth’s community. You can read more about this change and Jan’s legacy here.

Schedule

  • 9:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.  – Arrive at Camp
  • 10:00 a.m. – Projects begin
  • 12:00 p.m. – Lunch provided
  • 1:00 p.m. –  Projects resume
  • 3:00 p.m.  –  Wrap up projects and depart camp

Be sure to bring a water bottle, work gloves, and clothes that you can move in and get dirty! Consider packing extra clothes in case you get wet and be sure to bring appropriate layers for the weather, such as wool or rain gear.

Eligibility: This event is open to all ages.
Cost: Attendance is free, and lunch is provided.
Add-Ons: Optional cabin rentals for Saturday night will be available for $20 / person at registration. Participants may also choose to register for “Know the Night”, occurring the same evening.
