The Campout

Who Should Attend?

Never been to Camp Sealth (or even summer camp) before? What better way to send off the summer than spending a few days on enjoying gorgeous Vashon Island! At the CampOut you can try your hand at some of our best summer camp activities, including arts & crafts, tie dye, archery, hiking, horseback riding, and, of course, campfires. You’ll even get to make new friends with Sealth alumn and learn new songs around the campfire and all about Sealthisms like Uncle Wigglebottom, canoeing to “the big rock”, and Aqua Luca.

Did you come to Camp Sealth as a camper? Whether you were a camper in the orchard or part of the Village Crew, whether you rode the Virginia V or Da Boata, we would love to see you come celebrate 100 years of Camp Sealth and be part of the CampOut. Connect with old cabin mates (or even your old counselor), walk the shores of Camp Seatlh and recall your old memories, look through  our memory books or bring yours to share, and make new memories while doing some of your most beloved camp activities like archery or hiking to Uncle Wigglebottom’s cabin.

Were you on staff at Camp Sealth? Pack your magic ring and staff songbook and come spend the weekend reminiscing with other staff alumni about the best days of your youth. Find out what it’s like to hike around Sealth or hang out at the birdcage-making arts & crafts without having to be responsible for a cabin of 10. You might even run into one of your old campers, or make a new friend, and decide to sing karaoke with them at the Camp Outs cocktail hour. And you’ll definitely want to end the evening singing camp songs at the beach fire.

The CampOut is a Fundraiser for Camp Fire Scholarships, or “Camperships”

Event proceeds, merchandise sales, and donations will directly benefit local youth who normally couldn’t afford to experience the magic of Camp Fire programs or camps on their own. Our past CampOut events have collectively raised more than $15,000 to send kids to camp! Help us raise these much-needed Campership dollars by attending, or consider making a special donation to our Campership fund here.

Friday Night Arrival

Check-in anytime after 4:00 pm to move into your cabin, connect with old friends, and get the lay of the land. We’ll have snacks available, with dinner served at 7:00 pm. After dinner, gather your team and join us for a fancy s’mores bar and campfire, followed by some special evening programming like night archery, aqua luca,  board games & puzzles, crafts, and more.  Guests may also arrive Saturday morning after 10:00 am – please select Saturday Night Only when registering.
