Teens – Join us for the Teen Takeover!
Head out to Camp Sealth Saturday morning for a weekend full of fun leadership activities! Teens who attend will have the opportunity to learn new leadership skills like teamwork and communication and participate in fun camp activities like crafts, archery, or outdoor skill building. We’ll also “unplug” at this event, giving teens a chance to power down those electronic devices to develop their in-person social skills while making new friends. All teens will be supervised by our caring and trained Camp Fire staff members throughout the weekend.
Who Can Attend?
No prior participation in Camp Fire or Camp Sealth programs required – the more, the merrier! Teens in grades 6-8 will attend as Middle School Participants while teens in grade 9-12 can attend as High School Leaders.
Grades 6-8
Our activities will be geared towards the middle school level of leadership development, preparing youth with skills to help with being a leader at school, at future camp programs, during service learning experiences, or in a team setting. Participants will also get to enjoy fun camp activities throughout the weekend!
Grades 9-12
Teens in grades 9-12 will attend as a High School Leader. As a High School Leader, not only will teens participate in the fun weekend activities, they will also receive additional leadership development. Prior to the event, teens will receive “homework” activities to help prepare them for the weekend ahead and to begin developing leadership skills. During the weekend, High School Leaders will have the opportunity to exercise those leadership skills by mentoring our middle schoolers and helping to facilitate activities within the weekend.
