What does it take to be a Camp Fire Group Leader?
Camp Fire Leaders are at the core of our program and we couldn’t do it without them! Being a leader is a rewarding way to support youth in identifying their passions, or sparks, learning new skills, and becoming leaders in their communities. We consider leaders to be Spark Champions, people who are strong role models and truly care about their youth.
To become a Camp Fire leader, you must have a willingness to learn about our program and the time commitment to serve your group, but we are here to help you at every step! Some additional requirements include:
- Past experience as a positive role model for youth!
- Attend a New Leader Orientation
- Pass a background check
- Keep families informed and involved
- Maintain all Camp Fire policies
