Complete the Camp Sealth Waiver for Outdoor Education and Retreats Programming

All people (students, chaperones, and teachers/other school staff) who will be on-site with your school must complete the waiver prior to arriving at Camp Sealth. Parents/Caregivers completing the waiver for their child or other youth under their care should complete the Youth Waiver and not the Adult Waiver. This waiver is also where we collect each person’s dietary information, so completing the waiver ensures we are able to accurately plan for everyone’s dietary needs.

Program Overview and Expectations

When students arrive at Camp Sealth for the Outdoor Education program, they become Camp Sealth ecologists. This theme of Being an Ecologist acts as a unifying theme for all parts of the Outdoor Education experience from being the connective theme for all of our programming as well as the expectations we set for students in how they interact with each other and nature. We break down Being an Ecologist into 4 categories:

• Ecologists are stewards
• Ecologists work collaboratively as a community
• Ecologists embrace new experiences
• Ecologists observe and ask questions

Other Important Things to Know about the Camp Sealth Outdoor Education Experience:

• Students will be physically active outside for the majority of the day, regardless of the weather. Wearing rain gear, multiple layers of clothing, and closed-toed shoes helps keep them safe and comfortable for the entire programming day.
• Students will be sharing bedrooms and bathrooms with other students. All cabins have individual changing tents, and all bathrooms have individual stalls for privacy.

Packing List

Please review the packing list at the link below to ensure students are prepared for the Outdoor Education program. The most important thing to know is that Camp Sealth does not provide any bedding for any students or adults, so everyone must bring a sleeping bag, sheets, pillow, and any other bedding items they might want themselves. If you have any questions about anything listed, please contact the Outdoor Education and Retreats Director.

Programming at Camp Sealth

We offer a variety of environmental science curricula, team building activities, and traditional camp activities as a part of our programming. You can view all of our programming options at the link below for more information! Please reach out to the Outdoor Education and Retreats Director or a teacher from your school if you would like more specific information about the activities students will be participating in during their time at Camp Sealth.

Communication with Camp Sealth

To reach your child while they are at Camp Sealth, we recommend contacting your school’s teachers directly. Before your trip begins, be sure to confirm with your school’s teachers how to contact them directly while at Camp Sealth.

If you are unable to reach your school’s teachers or if you need to contact Camp Sealth in case of an emergency, please immediately call the 24 hour on-call Camp Sealth phone at (206) 612-5179.

Lost and Found

If you discover your child/youth under your care has lost an item during their time at Camp Sealth, please submit a lost item inquiry at the link below. A Camp Sealth staff person will follow up with you whether or not we find the lost item:
