Support counselors in working with kids with special needs; work with the Inclusion Coordinator to implement Inclusion support plans as a counselor or support staff. Previous camp counseling and experience with children with special needs is helpful.

Waterfront Specialist & Kiwanis Counselor

Teach and lead all waterfront activities including canoeing, rowing, kayaking, fishing, swimming, paddle boarding, windsurfing, and sailing on an open saltwater beach. Lifeguard certification is required, plus previous experience in one or more of the waterfront activities.

Day Camp Site Director

Direct a one week day camp for children in grades K – 7 with volunteer adult and teen staff. Plan and conduct your day camp in accordance with Camp Fire philosophy, policies, standards and requirements. At least 2 prior seasons of administrative or supervisory experience in an organized camp required to apply.

Support Specialist

Support the overall operation of camp in a variety of areas, including dining hall, pack-out food, and camp store. Rotate through each of these areas on a weekly basis. Previous kitchen experience is required. Current Washington State Food Handler’s Card is required.

Serve food, wash dishes, and keep the kitchen clean; also assist with camper supervision and unit activities including nighttime supervision and covering time off for counselors. Current Washington State Food Handler’s Card is required.

Prepare meals daily for up to 400 people. Prep, Assistant, and Head Cook positions are available, depending on experience and qualifications. Start dates vary by position. Current Washington State Food Handler’s Card is required.

Supervise counselors and rovers in camper units, coach staff in working with campers. Previous camp counseling experience required.

Inclusion Coordinator

Support campers with physical, developmental, and behavioral disabilities by talking to parents and working with counselors. Expertise in working with children, especially kids with special needs, is required. Driver’s license required & June 6th start date is required for this position.

Waterfront Coordinator

Supervise waterfront specialists, coordinate waterfront schedules, and oversee all water activities; maintain high safety standards. Also supervise campers and staff in Kiwanis (boating specialty unit). Lifeguard certification required.

Camp Sealth LEAD

High school students ages 16 and older can volunteer in the Camp Sealth LEAD Program. LEADs must attend a required training week, then volunteer for three additional weeks, earning up to 200 service hours.

Camp Sealth Health Care Staff

Provide routine and emergency health care for campers and staff, working under a physician’s standing orders. Health care certification required. Health care staff may volunteer one or more weeks, and may exchange volunteer service for camp tuition.

This volunteer position is available to any Camp Sealth alumni, including past campers and staff. Volunteer one or more weeks as an activity leader, rover, kitchen staff, or in a variety of other roles.
