Zoo Overnight

Saturday, October 17, 2015 @ 6:30 pm - Sunday, October 18, 2015 @ 9:30 am

|Recurring Event (See all)

$60

Age: 7 and up

Who:

All aged 7+ Camp Fire members, and their guests. Zoo policies require a 1:6 chaperone to youth ratio. All youth registrants will be asked to list their chaperone.

What:

Join us for an exploration into the life of a zookeeper at Woodland Park Zoo as you investigate the triumphs of caring for some of the smallest and largest animals on earth. Learn about techniques zookeepers use to work with animals and try your hand at creating an enrichment item.

Participants will enjoy having the zoo all to themselves during after-hours and early morning guided tours. A pizza dinner and light breakfast will be provided in addition to free park re-entry on Sunday.

What to Bring:

Your sleeping bag and pillow, a toothbrush and toothpaste, PJ’s, a flashlight and earplugs (sleeping accommodations are communal). Make sure to bring your chaperone, though some Camp Fire staff will be in attendance and may be able to accommodate some youth without chaperones. Accommodations for youth registering without chaperones will be made on a case-by-case first come first served basis.
