Earth Day Service Project

Saturday, April 21, 2018 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Free
P-Patch

Join us for our upcoming service project for Earth Day! We will be working at the Coleman Park P-Patch Garden to help wake the garden up for the spring ahead! Projects might include weeding, spreading mulch, clearing trails, and preparing beds for planting.

Bring your own snacks or lunch and water bottles. Porta-Potties will be available on site, or there is a nearby garden (about a 5 minute walk) with flush toilets.

Please RSVP! The garden is big enough to accommodate about 25 people, so we will be running an RSVP list. If you’d like to join us, please email Rebecca at rebeccab@campfireseattle.org.

The Coleman Park P-Patch has multiple areas that grow produce for local food banks as well as community blueberries, herbs, flowers, and more. Camp Fire also has a small plot that we run as a demonstration garden! You can bring your group out to learn about how plants grow, where their food comes from, and help with various projects like planting, weeding, or harvesting throughout the season. On April 21st, we will also give our groups a tour of the P-Patch!
