Lions, Tigers, and Bears, Oh My! This Fall, Join Camp Fire for a free day out at Woodland Park Zoo! Enjoy seeing new and familiar animals, learn a thing or two from a zoo team member, and maybe even bring home a souvenir from the gift shop! Groups and their leaders, with chaperone support if needed, are welcome to join in on the fun for free.

How to Participate

All youth must be supervised by a parent or guardian, group leader, or other qualified adult. We will all meet outside the West Entrance of Woodland Park at 10:00 AM to distribute tickets, take a final headcount, and enter together to discuss our end-of-day meeting point. Once inside, adults and youth are encouraged to stay together and practice safe field trip procedures. Groups should use the Special Activity Permission form if attending as a group without parents. If your group will be arriving later than 10:00 AM, please email.

The Camp Fire Day at The Zoo ends at 2:00 PM. To have your scavenger hunt checked off and emblem earned, your group must meet back up with everyone at the designated end-of-day meeting point. After that, Woodland Park Zoo is open till 4:00 PM on Saturdays. Your Camp Fire group is more than welcome to keep attending until then! Remember to wear your Camp Fire vests, t-shirts, or any other swag you may have! A group photo-op will be occurring!

Camp Fire youth members who attend our Day at The Zoo will be able to earn the new Giraffe Me Crazy Emblem that same day! The emblem can be earned by learning a fact about a new animal, asking a zoo team member an animal-related question, or by completing the Day at The Zoo scavenger hunt.
