Specialty Camps Back to "Summer Camp Descriptions" Grade: 4-11Location: Camp SealthDate(s): Sessions 2 - 8 Arts & Camp Grade: 5-8Location: Camp SealthDate(s): Sessions 2, 6Arts & Camp will focus on creative projects, including a combination of fine arts and traditional camp crafts. A portion of each day is spent at Birdcage, camp’s arts & crafts center, doing projects chosen by the campers. Bullseye! Grade: 5-8Location: Camp SealthDate(s): Sessions 2, 6Bullseye! is all about archery, of course. Campers will spend about 2 hours each day at the archery range, reviewing basic skills and working with a trained instructor to improve technique. Outback Grade: 5-6Location: Camp SealthDate(s): Sessions 3 & 7Outback is designed for kids to get comfortable being in the outdoors and to learn basic survival skills. About half of the session is spent in the woods, doing outdoor skills workshops like fire-building, orienteering, and shelter-building; the other half is spent in main camp doing traditional camp activities. Splash! Grade: 4-5Location: Camp SealthDate(s): Session 4Splish Splash camp spends time every day in and on the water. Kids will get a chance to try a little of everything – swimming, boating, and fishing on Camp Sealth’s waterfront. Then, take a break from the cold Puget Sound water and go on a field trip to a local pool. Shooting Stars Grade: 7-11Location: Camp SealthDate(s): August 18 - 22Youth ages 12 to 17 can join us for a week of camp specifically tailored for those with an autism spectrum disorder who need extra support to succeed at camp. This program features a high staff to camper ratio, specialized training for camp staff, and an adapted program to meet our camper’s specific needs.
