Applying for 2023 Teen Leadership Programs

Leadership Focus Sessions will open in November 2022. Applications for CIT & LEAD Programs will open in December 2022 – stay tuned for dates & deadlines!

Please note:

CIT & RSIT: The program will continue to be three weeks, and is offered at three different times throughout the summer. There will be one stay-over weekend for each session of CITs/RSIT’s. CITs & RSITs will be required to be fully vaccinated for COVID.
LEAD: LEADs will have the option to volunteer for 2, 3, or 4 weeks after completing their training week. LEADs will not be able to stay over breaks for this upcoming year. LEADs will be required to be fully vaccinated for COVID.

Camp Sealth Teen Leadership Programs

We kindly request that an individual camper registers for no more than two Overnight Camp sessions. This policy does not apply to our Day Camp programs.

Leadership Focus

Grade: 9-10Location: Camp SealthTime: Session 3 & 5.5Cost: $925 - $1800

Leadership Focus is for teens who are excited about leadership, interested in working with kids, or who want to be a camp counselor in the future. This two-week session will combine a traditional camp experience with hands-on leadership experience and skills workshops. This program is a great intro to Counselor-In-Training and Riding-Staff-In-Training.

Counselor In Training

Grade: 10-11Location: Camp SealthDate(s): VariesCost: $1600-$1800

Counselor-In-Training (CIT) is a four week long, in-depth leadership program that fosters independence and builds skills to work towards being a camp staff member. CITs join a long tradition of spirited, dedicated high school youth that love camp and want to work with kids.

Riding Staff In Training

Grade: 10-11Location: Camp SealthDate(s): VariesCost: $1600-$1800

Riding-Staff-In-Training (RSIT) is a four week long, in-depth leadership and horsemanship program that builds confidence in working with kids and horses, and develops skills to work towards being a camp staff member. RSITs work closely alongside Counselors-In-Training (CITs), but focus on working with horses as well as kids.

Camp Sealth LEAD Program

Grade: 11-12Location: Camp SealthDate(s): Required training week (July 3 - 8); plus additional volunteer weeks

Learn the challenges and rewards of being a Camp Sealth staff member through this volunteer, junior staff position. You’ll assist counselors, activity specialists, and support staff while learning about all aspects of the job.
