We welcome children and youth who identify as LGBTQIA2S+ and from LGBTQIA2S+ families and strive to make camp a safe environment for everyone. While romantic relationships are not allowed or encouraged as part of the camp experience, we do encourage everyone to be able to talk openly about themselves, their personal identity, and their family. Our staff are trained in how to have age-appropriate conversations in a way that makes everyone feel comfortable and included without making judgments.
Proud 2 Be Me Camp
The Proud 2 Be Me week of camp gives a designated space for building a community of queer identifying campers. The week will offer gender inclusive cabins, staff facilitated and supervised discussions around identity and queer history, along with the same classic camp favorites of overnights, archery, arts & crafts, and more! Campers can expect value sessions centered around being queer in the outdoors, and a safe space to try on new names, identities, or pronouns. Still enjoy the same classic camp activities but in a space that truly feels as if they belong for who they are.
LGBTQIA2S+ Support at Camp
We want to reiterate that every week, every session, every summer at camp is inclusive of those who are LGBTQIA2S+, gender fluid/non-binary, etc. We are offering these two opportunities give a more intentional space to build community around those identities.

We prioritize the emotional and physical well-being of all campers and aim to create an atmosphere where everyone feels accepted and celebrated for who they are. Camp Sealth is committed to nurturing a sense of belonging for all, ensuring that every camper’s experience is both enriching and affirming.
