Carkeek Park Day Camp Teen Volunteers

All volunteers must attend training prior to volunteering, please note that training for the Carkeek Park location has changed.

Mandatory training options:

Registration for one of the following options is a prerequisite of registering to volunteer

OPTION 1: At Carkeek Park: Monday June 29, 2020 (9am – 2pm) and Tuesday June 30, 2020 (9am – 4pm). LEAD (9th-10th grader) and Teen Counselor (11th-12th grader) volunteers must attend the entire training of both days.

OPTION 2: Carkeek 1 (Mon July 6 – Fri July 10, 9:30am – 3:30pm) – Teen Volunteer training, spend the week learning/reviewing the ins and outs of day camp, hone your skills, and support camp in a variety of roles. During this full week training, teens will attend training workshops and rotate through the various volunteer positions earning service learning hours. No overnight for teens attending this training.


OPTION 3: Register as a CIT during one of the following sessions: Carkeek 2, Carkeek 3, or Carkeek 4. After completing one session as a CIT, 9th-12-grade participants may register for additional weeks of camp during the same season as Teen Volunteers.

There will be no other makeup trainings available for Full Week Teen Volunteers at Carkeek Park.

Unable to attend one of these trainings? You can still volunteer as a Special Guest for up to 24 hours per week. See Day Camp Special Guest Volunteers for more information.

Are you also volunteering at Woodland Park day camp? The mandatory training for Carkeek day camp fulfills the Offsite Training requirement, but you are still required to attend the Woodland Park Onsite Training.
