Teen Volunteers

Why Volunteer?

9th-10th Grade: Join us as a Day Camp Aide! Help assist unit groups, lead activities, and learn new leadership skills.
11th-12th Grade: Become a Head Counselor! Lead a unit of campers while mentoring Day Camp Aides and helping around camp.

Training

All volunteers – DCA, Head Counselor, Adult Volunteers – are required to attend two mandatory training sessions (offsite and onsite) prior to camp. Dates TBA.

Carkeek Park training: All volunteers – DCA, Head Counselor, Adult Volunteers –  are required to attend the two day training at Carkeek Park.  The training will be July 6 & 7, 2022.

Other Locations (Golden Gardens, Hans Jensen, Blyth Park)

Volunteers must attend one offsite training held at local libraries and/or churches, there are a variety of days and times to choose from. If none of the training dates work with your schedule, you must contact the Day Camp Director, Sammie Hagen, sammieh@campfireseattle.org

ONSITE training: Each week of day camp has its own specific Onsite training at that camps location. If you volunteer at more than one location of day camp, you are required to attend the onsite training for each camp. Onsite training dates are listed on our council calendar.

Day Camp Training Dates are posted to our calendar as they are made available.
