At Camp Fire, we are working everyday towards our vision of creating a world with boundless opportunities for young people to get outside, make lifelong friends, find acceptance for their true selves and thrive on their own terms.
We are thrilled to partner with King County in making this vision a reality. This past July 10th Executive Shannon Braddock, toured Camp Sealth and officially signed a purchase of Camp Sealth’s third conservation land easement. This agreement will permanently protect the natural forests and landscapes of camp and preserve them for years to come while allowing Camp Fire to retain 100% ownership.
Camp Fire continues to excel at enabling youth to thrive on their own terms. In addition to serving a record number of kids in our camping programs, over 98% reported feeling included and safe in our camps.
One parent recently shared, “Camp Fire has helped my son grow emotionally and mentally. He came back more confident and felt he could do more things independently.”
I am so proud of our professional, dedicated and caring staff team and volunteers who work hard every day to build a culture where kids feel seen and valued for who they are.
