National Art Project 2015-2016: Two Ways to Enter

Glass is the suggested medium for the 2015–2016 open medium. Through a range of activities, youth can explore new techniques in this art medium.Camp Fire is continuing to follow the established six-year cycle of art mediums—painting, fibers, printmaking, photography, clay, and open medium.

This year, Camp Fire is thrilled to partner with Museum of Glass, in Tacoma, to bring you a wide range of exciting art projects as part of this year’s art experience!

Participants in any Camp Fire program can participate in the National Art Experience. The National Art Experience is a chance to visit workshops, museums, art schools, galleries, artist studios, and craft and hobby shops in your area.

The Museum of Glass invites Camp Fire participants ages 12 and under to enter their art in Kids Design Glass to have a chance to have their artwork created by a professional glass artist.

The deadline to submit entries to Camp Fire National has passed, however, the Museum of Glass will continue to accept direct submissions until February 19, 2016. Learn more about this opportunity on their website, or download the Kids Design Glass submission form!

You can also enter your art to the Seattle office and we are accepting all mediums this year. You can submit a copy of your entry that was sent to National or you can enter a completely different project. Good luck to all our young artists out there and we look forward to seeing your work.
