Meet our next Featured Staff, Pebbles! Pebbles jumped into the Camp Sealth Staff last year as a Challenge Specialist and spent her days building teamwork and leadership skills on the challenge course. We are excited to welcome her back this summer!
Where are you from?
I’m from Seattle, WA.
What’s your job at Camp Sealth this summer?
Last summer I was a challenge specialist, and I’ll be returning this summer as a program specialist.
What are you looking forward to most this summer?
This summer I’m looking forward to being surrounded by an awesome community of great staff and exceptional campers. Also, the candlelight dinner rolls.
If you could be a zookeeper for any animal, which would it be?
Red pandas.
If you could be an expert or professional at anything, what would it be?
Tie-dying. My wardrobe would be flawless.
If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
The ability to talk to animals. I just feel like we’d get along.
What is your favorite part of a typical day of camp?
My favorite part of a typical day at camp is probably dinner when I get to hear all of the campers’ stories from the day. It’s nice hearing their perspectives.
What is your favorite camp memory or story?
Re-enacting the “Gospel Truth” from Hercules at the all-camp talent show with Chip, Kit, Aquarius, and Tumble.
What does camp mean to you?
Camp is that part of me that gives me something joyful to look back on, and something exciting to look forward to. My experience at camp has given me skills that I use every day and a network of people who I can rely on to support me, make me laugh, and understand just how awesome of a time camp really is.
