Featured Staff Emma

Meet our next Featured Staff, Emma! Emma will be joining the Camp Sealth staff for the first time this summer and has yet to choose a camp name! We are excited to have her skills and enthusiasm join the team in our horse camp program, working with our horses and enthusiastic Wrangler campers. Help us welcome Emma and read about her below!

Where are you from?

I’m from Puyallup, WA which is south of Seattle where I now live and go to school.

What’s your job at Camp Sealth this summer?

This will be my first summer at Camp Sealth and I’ll be a Riding Specialist.

What are you looking forward to most this summer?

I am most looking forward to spending a lot of time with the horses and spending lots of time outdoors. I can’t wait to meet the campers and have a blast with them!

If you could be a zookeeper for any animal, which would it be?

Probably snow leopards or tigers or other large cats, because I love cats. But, I’d also love to have elephants. I think they’re adorable and I really want one to pick me up and give me a hug with its trunk.

If you could be an expert or professional at anything, what would it be?

I would be a professional baker. I’d have my own bakery or cafe and make pie and drink coffee all day.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?

Super-human flexibility. I think it would be fun to be an acrobat.

What is your favorite part of a typical day of camp?

When I went to camp as a kid, my favorite part was always riding horses and then swimming after to cool off.

What is your favorite camp memory or story?

I don’t know if I could pick just one! I love how relaxing camp was. It was really peaceful to just spend time away from the outside world and enjoy the friends I was making.

What does camp mean to you?

Camp means having fun, making friends, and trying new things.
