Camp Sealth recruits health care professionals to serve in a volunteer capacity to provide routine and emergency care for campers and staff. Each week, a different team of 3 health care professionals work together to dispense medications, provide first aid, and manage records in the camp health center. The health care team works under the direction of the Health Care Coordinator, who oversees the health center, and with the guidance and support of a local physician.
Eligibility
To volunteer as a health care staff at Camp Sealth, you must have a current license valid in Washington State with no restrictions. Provider credentials will be verified. Volunteers must also pass a background and sex offender check and have current First Aid and CPR certification.
Volunteer Commitment
The volunteer commitment is one week (usually Monday to Saturday); although there are options for shorter-term volunteer work. Contact us if you are interested. In exchange for volunteer service, volunteers may bring up to two kids to camp for free (either day camp or overnight camp). Don’t have a kid, use your volunteer commitment to sponsor a kid’s trip to camp instead?
How to apply
To apply, fill out the online volunteer application, then one of the camp staff will contact you for a brief phone interview. Some weeks fill quickly, so apply early to get the best selection of dates.
