The Assistant Camp Director position oversees the implementation of camp program activities during the spring, summer, and fall seasons. The role will also assist with hosting and facilitation of retreat groups, schools, and Camp Fire programs in the spring and fall. In the summer, Assistant Camp Directors supervise the summer staff and work with the Summer Camp Co-Directors to ensure safe and high-quality program activities, as well as a safe camper and staff environment. This position works on a team of Assistant Camp Directors who are each responsible for different aspects of program delivery and logistics for schools, retreat groups, and summer camp.

This role begins in January 2024 and concludes in September 2024.

Organization Overview

Camp Sealth is a summer camp, outdoor education center, and retreat facility serving around 7,000 people year-round. The summer camp season is comprised of eight weeks of overnight camp and day camp, serving over 2,000 youth each summer in a variety of classic and specialty camp programs. During the spring and fall, our outdoor education & retreats season takes place. Camp Sealth hosts events including school trips, retreats, weddings, and family camps for groups between 20 to 300 people.

Camp Sealth’s parent organization, Camp Fire Central Puget Sound, also runs programs for teen leadership and community service, traditional youth club programs, and community day camps throughout the Greater Seattle area.
