How long have you been with Camp Fire?
This is my fifth year on staff! Before that, 2 years volunteering and 7 years as a camper.
What brings you back to working at day camp?
The camp environment is unlike anything else! I love getting to spend my summers outside surrounded by amazing people.
What is one of your favorite memories of day camp?
A few years ago, on a Monday morning, a young kid came over to the medical area with a stomachache. They were nervous! I was able to read them a book and convince them their counselors are awesome.

How long have you been with Camp Fire?
Second year on staff, 4 years volunteering and 9 years as a camper.
What brings you back to working at day camp?
Campfire was and has been such an important place and community for me, especially when I was a kid. I think it’s such a positive environment and a staple of our community from the kids who attend each summer to the high school volunteers and up to the staff.
What is one of your favorite memories of day camp?
Too many good ones to count! But somewhere towards the end of week three last year, I got myself in a grove and felt like I could not only do the medical job, but I could excel at it.

What brings you back to working at day camp?
I’m in school to be a teacher. I like that I can get better at my future career while also playing outside.
What is one of your favorite memories of day camp?
Last summer, Blossom and I were able to enhance our CIT program by adding a bunch of lead by example type activities. It worked out really well.

Is everything an okay answer? However, what stands out is the community!
What is one of your favorite memories of day camp?
It was 2023 and I asked if I could volunteer a few more weeks, TreeTop said, “sure! Do you want to be with a younger group of kids, older group of kids or at programming?” I responded, “wherever you need me.” It was that moment, TreeTop and I became close. She could count on me, and I could count on her.

I love working at day camp because I get to help kids grow, have fun, and make memories every single day.
What is one of your favorite memories of day camp?
One of my always favorite memories is sitting in the grass chatting with campers while we make friendship bracelets and unwind together.

It’s such an awesome experience to be able to spend time outside having fun while creating meaningful experiences!
What is one of your favorite memories of day camp?
My favorite memory is playing against Fish in capture the flag week 4 last summer. He tried to be sneaky but it didn’t work!

Third year on staff, 4 years volunteering and 6 years as a camper.
What brings you back to working at day camp?
Being able to be outdoors all summer and help kids of all ages and backgrounds learn about nature and teamwork and fun activities really makes me feel like I have the best job in the world. I love my coworkers and I love the campers and I can’t wait for another amazing summer!
What is one of your favorite memories of day camp?
Last summer we did singing hill as it started to rain and it was just magical watching all the kids not care, if not sing louder.

Can you explain your camp name?
My college friends came up with that nickname for me and it stuck! Also I love hot dogs.
What do you like about working at camp?
I haven’t worked at Camp Fire before, but I love how much summer camp brings people together.
What are you excited for this summer?
Besides camp, I am looking forward to my trip to Europe this summer!

How long have you been with Camp Fire?
I was at Camp Sealth for 8 years, as a camper from 2016-2021 (5 years not counting covid), a CIT in 2022, a LEAD in 2023, and staff for 2 years in 2024 and 2025!
What brings you back to working at Camp Fire?
I like that camp fire is so committed to helping kids learn about nature and make lasting friendships and memories.
What is one of your favorite memories of camp?
One of my favorite memories from counseling last year was playing guitar for my campers under the stars at overnight.
